COVID Vaccine Eligibility In Region Lowered To 18, Fort McMurray Adds 140 New Cases

Premier Jason Kenney announced on Monday they’re expanding eligibility in the RMWB and Banff. Along with the Janssen vaccines, which have been delayed, 20,000 additional doses will be sent to the two areas to help combat the rise in cases. These individuals will be eligible starting Tuesday for all vaccines with the MacDonald Island Park clinic still accepting walk-ins for just the AstraZeneca. All other vaccines will need an appointment. Also, teachers across the province can get their first shot.

Oregon COVID-19 Update: 1 New Death, 540 New Cases

May 4, 2021 There is one new COVID-19 related death in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 2,502. Oregon Health Authority reported 540 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 186,877. The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 351, which is six more than yesterday. There are 80 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is four more than yesterday. The total number of COVID-19 positive patient bed-days in the most recent seven days is 2,354, which is an 18% increase from the previous seven days. The peak daily number of beds occupied by COVID-19 positive patients in the most recent seven days is 351.
